These fun-to-make gloves use several interesting crochet techniques for texture, shaping, and finishing.

Front post half double crochet -- half double crochets worked around the post of the stitch in the preceding row -- are used to create a springy ribbing at the wrist.

Thistle stitch -- double crochet fans and posts worked between stitches in the preceding row -- creates the lacy body of the glove and short rows provide shaping in the thumb area.

Crab stitch -- single crochet worked in the opposite direction from normal -- makes a heavily textured border that complements the lacy thistle stitch.

Sizes
The pattern describes how to make the glove in two sizes: S/M (small-to-medium) and M/L (medium-to-large).

The pattern was designed to match the Thistle Stitch Hooded Scarf, and can be made using yarn left over from that project.
