Thorgal is inspired by the traditional yoke sweaters but I wanted to make a more modern looking version with texture while following the traditional construction. The name of the sweater comes from the Norse god Thor, as a reference to the Nordic origin of yoke sweaters.

As a mother of boys, I find that there are many more fun knitting patterns for girls than for boys. This is why I wanted the design to be suitable for both boys and girls and I think the color choice will allow to make it boy-ish or girly, as desired.

Warning: the sizing follows the US standards and will seem small to most European knitters. Make sure to check the measurements in the pattern before deciding which size to knit.
