Let’s knit together a reversible tartan scarf with fringe for free !

The Thornhill scarf is round knitted bottom up on 2 different circular needles. Its edges are made of 15 icords joined together to make the cast on /bind off rows. It stands out with its distinctive fair isle/tartan design.

For the pictured model, I used 2 different colors of merino held together with mohair that I chose in pastel shades to make it more modern but it’s up to you to design it your own style. The pattern also works in plain colors.

To knit it, you’ll only need 2 sets of 4 mm/US6 needles and an optional knitting spool.

The instructions for this scarf exist in french and english and I also made a video to start more easily !
