An eye-catching tiling pattern and a fun monogrammable sole,
to make sure nobody steals your beautiful socks.

Description
Sock is cast on at the cuff in MC, then worked top-down in the round in 2-stranded colourwork to the heel. Heel flap and heel turn are worked back and forth in MC, then sts are picked up along flap for gusset. Gusset and rest of foot is worked in the round, with gusset decreases along bottom of foot. Gusset decreases form a small triangle underfoot, with the option to put initials in (charts provided for 26 letters of the alphabet). Toe decreases are worked in MC to form a nice round toe, then sock is closed with Kitchener stitch.

Sizing
Written to fit women’s 6-8, can be adjusted by adjusting needle size and gauge. To alter gauge, determine desired circumference C in inches. 48/Cx4 = stitch gauge in 4”.
Sock as written is 72 st around for leg.

Gauge
36 sts x 36 rows in 4x4” (10x10 cm) in stranded colourwork on larger needles

Suggested Needles
