Thoughts for a Pandemic
In British Columbia, Canada, where I live, the doctor in charge of keeping our province on track during this pandemic reminds us all in her daily new conference that all citizens to follow her mantra of “Be Calm, Be Kind, Be Safe”, and I decided to see if I could design a dishcloth using these words.

Use 100% cotton worsted weight yarn for your dishcloth. My finished dishcloth weighs in at 44 grams and measures 10” W x 9” H. This pattern is suitable for beginners, as the only skills needed are cast on and cast off as well as knit and purl stitches.
Please choose a set of needles a size or two smaller than you would normally use to knit this yarn and choose a solid colour yarn. When you are done, block your dishcloth. These three suggestions will help the picture to ‘pop’.
Many thanks to my sister Bev, who took time from her busy days to test knit my pattern. Thanks so much, dear sister!!
