Thredbo Wrap
The wrap is constructed by joining (as you go) a pretty motif which I found in an old crochet stitch library. The wrap pictured is made of 18 squares (3 x 6) and I added little metal charms at each end. I found these at the craft shop; however make sure that the holes are large enough for your yarn to thread through. My wrap was made of some angora and goat hair yarn made in Turkey. From memory I used about 4 - 5balls (100 gms balls). I like the tension on these to be quite loose so I used a 6mm hook.
Each of my squares measure 25cm or 10inches. This pattern has quite a bit a stretch and makes a lovely snugly shawl that feels like a warm hug. There is no need to block, and the finished item has a nice drape. A lovely lady recently requested the pattern so I have written it up to share.
