Outlander season six brought us the story of Lizzie and the Beardsley twins. That story inspired this crocheted shawl, created in worsted weight yarn using three double crochet shells to represent the Lizzie/Beardsley threesome. Unconventional, like their relationship, the shape of this shawl is ever so slightly asymmetric from a triangular shape, and the shell pattern is worked on the fabric bias. This shawl is made with 780yds of worsted weight yarn. For this sample, I used Araucania Unan, a 50% cotton/50% alpaca blend (100g/200m/219yds) that results in a light weight, yet warm, shawl.
