This listing is for a digital download of a PDF pattern for the Maud Lewis’ Three Black Cats tapestry made with crochet and embroidery. The resultant tapestry will be about 15 inches wide and about 16inches tall. Using thicker yarn will result in a larger tapestry.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Included with this purchase are PDFS full of instructions and guides for making this piece, and links to over one hour of video tutorials that I made specifically for this product. A printer friendly/accessible version of the pattern is also included.

SKILL LEVEL

• Involves tapestry crochet (single crochet) with many colour changes
• Involves A LOT of embroidery, however no experience is required! Videos will guide you along.

This pattern is made in two stages. The first stage involves creating the background of the tapestry (including the body of the cats) following a colour chart. The second stage involves adding details on top of the background through embroidery and tapestry crochet.

REQUIRED MATERIALS (NOT INCLUDED WITH PURCHASE)
•Yarn (amounts are approximate and are based off of Caron Simply Soft acrylic yarn)
170g (270 metres) of weight 4 yarn in green (less if omitting the tassels)
25g (43 metres) of weight 4 yarn in black
30g (51 metres) of weight 4 yarn in light blue
