This Aran cushion cover is worked on 5mm needles and has three types of cable. There’s a simple cable twist, a more intricate, multi-stranded fishernet cable up the centre and diamond cables framing moss stitch panels. Each pattern repeat covers 16 rows.

Although it looks complex, the instructions are very straightforward and easily followed. The cushion has a stocking stitch reverse with a single ribbed button band and 5 buttons. It takes around 300g of Aran (Worsted, 10 ply) yarn.
