This pattern will make a reusable chain similar to the paper chains for which you can buy paper strips.

Patterns for three different styles of strip are given plus suggestions for using them in different ways.

You can use it for decoration at Christmas (or any other time of the year if you wish).

The pictured chains were made in the mentioned yarn but any suitable yarn could be used.

The patterns made in DK yarn produce strips that are about 8ins (20cm) long and 1.25-1.5ins (3-4cm) wide. The length could be easily increased or decreased.

It would make an excellent stash buster as very little yarn is needed for each link of the chain. About 12m (40ft) of DK yarn is needed for one strip.
