Three Lace Scarves
The Three Lace Scarves collection comprises Aegean, Gazelle and Minimal Lace Scarf.
Three designs for lace scarves, with simple lace stitches. They are knit in one piece, with no grafting or borders to add.
Aegean
This design was inspired by Greek bobbin lace on vintage clothing that I saw in a small ethnographic museum on the island of Milos.
Two needle sizes are used to create the contrasting densities. The sample shown measures approx. 10 in/26cm sq. and was made with a small quantity of Rowan Kidsilk Haze. One skein of Kidsilk Haze is required for a full scarf.
Gazelle
The sample is unblocked to preserve its beautiful rippling texture.
The sample was made with Rowan Kidsilk Haze on 2.25mm/US 1 needles and measures 11x8 inches/28x20cm. 1.5 - 2 skeins would be required to make a full scarf.
Minimal Lace Scarf
This has a very simple design to show off a special yarn.
The scarf was made with slightly less than 1 skein of Rowan Kidsilk Haze and measures 56x6.5 inches/142x17cm.
The pdf contains charts for all three scarves, instructions and color photographs.
