To me, the Three of Cups is about friendship and fulfilment. It’s about the magical things that can happen when you bump shoulders with a couple of your best buds and get started making something. This is exactly what came about with this pattern.
My hope is that when you make this shawl you can try to think about how the things you create are able to come to be because of the communities around you.

This pattern is great for beginners, and is a simple way to keep your hands busy for those of you that are seasoned knitters.

Yarn:
I recommend using a bouncy heavy fingering for this shawl. Part of why I love it so much is because it is springy in my hands and it throughly covers my neck when it’s cold. Also, the sparkle!

Main Colour (Grey): Ancient Arts “100% Superwash Merino” (372 yards/340 meters, 100g per skein), 1 entire skein.

Contrast Colour 1(Lavender): Ancient Arts “84% Superwash Merino 16% Sparkle” (372 yards/340meters, 100g per skein), 1 entire skein.

Contrast Colour 2 (Orange): madelinetosh “Tosh Sock” (100% merino, 395 yards/361 meters, 100g per skein), I used 25 grams which is 98 yards/90 meters.

Needle:
3.25mm (US 3) 24 or 32 inch circular.

Notions:
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Four stitch markers

Gauge:
21 stitches and 41 rows over 4 inches in garter stitch using 3.25mm needles.

Measurements:
68 inches along top edge. 25 inches from centre top to point.
