Description

This pattern is for a traditional three panel cycling cap. The cap can be made with multiple colors if desired: a main color for the top panel and 1-2 accent colors for the side panels. The brim may be made with any of the colors.

The pattern is designed for one-size (adult), but can be adapted to fit other sizes by adapting gauge, stitch count, or hook sizes.

Materials

  • Lily Sugar ‘n Cream (or any other worsted weight yarn) – may use one or more colors. (about 185 yards total, 130 yards of “main color” and 20-35 of accent colors, each) The cap pictured uses 3 colors.
  • 5mm crochet hook (US size H)
  • Yarn needle

Gauge: use any size crochet hook to obtain the gauge

  • 10 rows and 16 stitches (hdc) in a 4” square
