Three Toe'd Sock
While on the journey for the perfect sock for myself…I knit a LOT of socks. I started looking for something like my favorite tennis shoe socks (of course they were machine made) and that began the process of writing my first sock pattern.
While playing with a short row toe, I noticed that it would make the perfect tab at the back of my heel…AND it could make a cool heel in the sock. Since the construction of all 3 ended up being the same, I named it the three toe’d sock.
The sock starts with a provisional cast on, then you create the first “toe” using German Short Rows then you fold over the cuff and continue onto the heel then the toe. You can do some colorwork through the instep to make a cozy fit! Finally, you kitchener across the top of your toe and you are DONE!!!! They knit up fast and don’t take much yarn!!
Since you never increase or decrease your stitch count, you can also do the WHOLE sock on 9” circulars!!!!
The pattern includes a video to show off some of the more challenging parts, and a kitchener video!
