Thresher is a long, slightly thin triangle scarf, featuring mesh lace motifs! Bold textured eyelets offset long stretches of comfort-knit garter stitch, and in my opinion the wrong side of this fabric looks better than the public side—the stacked slipped stitches are enchanting.
Knit a kerchief version like the one shown, or make a full-sized wrap with 1-2 full skeins of yarn! The design breaks down into a a simple repeat, written out in detail, so it’s easy to customize once you grasp the pattern.
Materials:
- 300-874 yards or 1-2 skeins of Cascade Yarns Heritage Wave or similar yarn; sample shown in Plume (501)
- 1 48” circular needle in US3-5/3.25-3.75mm, or size needed for gauge.
- Tapestry needle
- Optional: I like to have a few removable stitch markers to mark my finished repeats, but this isn’t necessary.
Gauge:
Gauge is 22 sts and 36 rows over 4”/10cm of garter stitch, worked flat and blocked.
