Through the Trees
Through the Trees socks are a made up of a textured pattern of ribbing with knit, yarn over, and slipped stitches that runs along the top of the foot. The pattern works best with solid, solid with speckling, or tonal yarns as the stitch definition will be lost with more variegated colouring. The pattern repeat is quickly memorizable, making it perfect for nighttime knitting in front of the TV, or while grabbing coffee with friends. With a total of 6 different stitches utilized, this is a great pattern for beginner and adept knitters alike
Through the Trees socks are worked cuff-down in the round with an afterthought heel on double-pointed needles or a 23cm / 9” circular needle.
Instructions are for a 60 (64, 68) stitch sock (25cm / 10” (26.5cm / 10.5”, 28.5cm / 11.25”)) foot circumference) and is knit in this order: Sock Tube (including cuff), Toe, Afterthought Heel.
