I’ve heard that having clothes that really fit a tiny preemie can be a boost to the spirits. This top-down, seamless raglan cardigan is scaled down for Preemie sizes. It measures 13.75/15/16 inches at the chest and the sleeves are narrower than on a typical newborn sweater, to allow for a preemie’s slender arms. It would also make a good doll sweater--the smallest size is pictured on an American Girl Bitty Baby. It can be finished with your choice of 3/4 or full-length sleeves, and either trimmed with ribbing or a picot edge. Another photo shows the smallest size next to a 3-month size top for comparison.
