This is a fun take on the linen stitch. Using 3 colours in the linen stitch section and a contrasting brim colour, it looks best with solid/tonal colours or with a single variegated yarn.

Sizes listed as Small, Medium, and Large are suitable for Children, Young adults and Adults respectively. S (M, L) will stretch to accommodate 50cm, 55cm, 60cm) 20” (22”, 24”).

Due to the nature of the Linen stitch, every 4 rows worked will have the height of 3 rows. Length gauge is unimportant, simply measure to your desired length, but width (circumference) gauge is important for a correct fit.

Colours needed:

1 - Contrast colour for brim
3 - Colours for Linen Stitch, works best with 3 solid/tonal colours, or 2 solid/tonal colours and one variegated/handpainted colour. To much variegation in the yarn will obscure the texture.
