CH - Chain
MC - Magic Circle
ST - Stitch
SC - Single Crochet
SLST - Slip Stitch
TR - Triple Crochet
BLO - Back Loop Only
HDC - Half Double Crochet
HDCBLO - Half Double Crochet Back Loop Only
YO - Yarnover
SK - Skip
DC - Double Crochet
3L - 3rd Loop

You may very well single strand this pattern. I find that double stranding makes it much sturdier with less stretching.
