Thunderstorm Shawl
by Jay Avery
This shawl is worked from the top down, with increases to form a semicircle - the rows start short and end up very long, so use a circular needle to hold the increasing number of stitches. The main body is a repeating pattern of simple raindrops, then there is a cloud-shaped edge, and finally a border of lightning bolts. If working from chart, please note WS rows are not shown and are worked as purl throughout
This pattern features in Issue 92 of Knit Now, which is on sale from 23rd August in supermarkets, newsagents and craft stores across the UK. Find your nearest UK stockist here. Copies can also be ordered from MoreMags or if you prefer, digital editions are available via PocketMags.
