Materials
Color 1: approximately 400 yds/366 m of 4-ply fingering weight wool or wool blend yarn. (variegated color.)

Color 2: approximately 270 yds/247 m of 4-ply fingering weight wool or wool blend yarn. (coordinating color to variegated skein.)

Sample uses 1 skein each of The Yarn At Home Mom in the “Smelly Cat” and “Green Grass High Tides” colorways. (75% superwash Merino wool, 25% Nylon; 463 yds/423 m per skein)

Needles: US size 9 (5.5 mm) or size needed for gauge. Recommended 32 inch circular or longer to accommodate large number of stitches.

Gauge: Blocked
22 sts/26 rows = 4 inch (10 cm)
square in stockinette stitch after blocking.

Note: Gauge may vary depending upon yarn used and how it responds to blocking. Your gauge will affect the amount of yarn used.

Finished Measurements
Block shawl lightly to desired size. Lace border will require a more aggressive approach.

Sample measures 51.25 in/130 cm edge to edge and 27.25 in/69 cm depth after blocking.
