Tic Tac Toe Cauldron
Around Halloween time, witches have a secret cauldron that is used to make Tic-Tac-Toe potions so we can all play a simple, fun game.
This crochet project makes the seasonal decor even more playful. When not serving as part of a game, the grid and bottled potions (game pieces) are stored in the cauldron, and the set looks like a bubbling pot of potions brewing away.
When not in use for cooking up potions, the crocheted cauldron can also serve as a container to collect wrapped candies, keys, or other small items.
This crochet pattern includes steps to make a cauldron (no sew), a “soupy” grid (grid lines embroidered), and 10 bottled potions as the game pieces. A special stitch (photo and video tutorials included) is used in the project to give the cauldron more texture and make it slightly thicker on the side.
