On 11th October 2020, Haseeta of Amazing Knitting and Crochet Group launched a Menstrual Health Campaign in Kenya. I later joined the campaign and along with the African Girl Foundation we hope to normalize conversation on menstrual health.

Similarly, we are raising funds to equip girls in need with reusable sanitary kits. Pattern description
The Tide Beanie is knitted in the round bottom up. It starts off with a 2” ribbing and moves up to an easy lace body section that gives an effect of waves. This is a seamless hat pattern perfect for knitters of all levels.

Skill level: Beginner

Size options:
The pattern comes in one size with finished hat measurements of 7.5” across & 10.5 inches high when laid flat. This fits adults with a head circumference of 21-22”

Materials needed:
• 3.5 mm & 4mm/40 cm circular needles
• 3.5 mm//80 cm circular needles- for crown
• DK yarn
• Darning needle
• Scissors & stitch markers

Yarn details:
This pattern uses approximately 290 yards of DK yarn. This pattern is a good match for solid color to bring out the textured stitches to their best advantage. However, variegated yarn is also a great option.
