You can truly make this shawl your own. The pattern is written for fingering-weight yarn, but it’s easy to adapt to any amount or yarn weight. Simply work the pattern repeat until you run out of yarn or reach your desired size.

YARN
One skein of Wollmeise Pure (100% merino wool; 525 m / 574 yds per 150 g). Shown in colour Jeton.

Or approximately 525 m / 574 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

If you’re not using a fingering weight yarn, choose a needle size that gives you a neat but loose fabric with beautiful drape. The needle size on the yarn label is always too small for shawls. So don’t be afraid to go up from the yarn’s suggested needle size.
