Riversong
Where salt and sand and air do meet,
and seaweed fronds in tidepools greet,
I rush on by, against the tide
and lose myself into the wide,
a deep blue cove at ocean’s door,
but there I become so much more!
From mountains bare
some parts of me
have come down here
to be the sea.
Full written and charted instructions
The river reaches the sea and finds its way over
rocks and shallows to the open. Tidepools and the
water running over and through rocks, collecting in
pools and finally flowing freely through the underwater
forests of the ocean is depcited in this generously
sized, top down crescent to half circle shawl.
Yarn
2 skeins Madelinetosh Pashmina (75% Merino, 15%
Silk, 10% Cashmere; 360 yards / 329 m per skein)
Sport weight yarn
Sample in ‘Cousteau’
Needles
US 5 (3.75 mm) min 32”/ 80cm circular needle to
hold large number of stitches, or size to obtain

24 st and 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st
