Lilliana is a cosy is designed to fit the Anko (Kmart and Target) or Maxwell & Williams (“Blend”) 1L glass teapot; it may also fit other glass teapots of similar dimensions.

Lilliana a seamless design which includes a coaster base, and it ties off at the top. No need to cast on, block or seam!

Begin with a slip knot using 4ply yarn held double – then working into a circular coaster base using double pointed needles. Changing to single strands of yarn on smaller circular needles, knit row by row back and forth with a lace motif to form the cosy body. Divide the sts in half and work each wing of the tie top one at a time, shaping around the spout and then up into a triangular tie-top with long ties. Pick up sts from the selvedge and knit the flounce and wrap around the handle.

Beads and tassel complete the cosy. Experiment with colours, save your waste yarn to add textured or add unusual tassels to express your tea personality, and you can even match your favourite mug!
