I created this mitten pattern as a gift for a young lady. I wanted her to be able to have something different that not everyone else is wearing. I used 2 skeins for the main colour and one for the contrasting colour. The cable is worked on two separate needles and attached by picking up a stitch as you go along the already knitted portion of the mitten.
They are heavy enough to keep your hands in our lovely Canadian winters, but interesting enough to wear them out and about town.
