Little Ellie’s Elves just love the rush that they get when Christmas is in full swing, which for them is months before it is for us. The workshop is abuzz with familiar smells, festive music and above all else..mince pies!

This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms and step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creation. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK/others) and a 2.0mm hook, the finished Elf will measure around 20cm/8” tall.

The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.

You’ll need to know how to:

• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• increase/decrease
• half double crochet
• front/back loop only
• slip stitch
• bobble stitch (photo tutorial is included)

You will need the following materials:

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Dk - Acrylic - 100g/295m/323 yards
1 ball of each colour (you won’t need full balls):
Tiffin - White 1001, Bottle 1009, Claret 1123, Dark Brown 1004, Mocha 1064 and Mushroom 1832.
Elfin - White 1001, Sage 1725, Claret 1123, Pale Rose 1080, Teal 1062 and Mocha 1064. We also used Womens Institute Dk in Vanilla 42 and Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake fluffy yarn 0200.

2.0mm crochet hook
10mm black safety eyes
Soft stuffing/ Fibrefill
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Dressmakers pins
