I designed this hat for my friend’s baby as I just love animal hats on babies. I am sure any baby would look super cute in it and using a super soft but washable yarn means it is a practical gift too.

It is knitted in the round to avoid any seams that a baby might find uncomfortable. You can use either double pointed needles or a circular needle. If using a circular needle the decrease section will require the magic loop method to be used, but this is easy once you get the hang of it.
