This sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Work begins at the shoulders with short rows for shaping shoulders and increases for neckline. Back and front are worked flat to underarms then worked in the round. Sleeves are picked up at the armholes and worked in the round.
The sweater has set in pockets and a colour work border as well as contrast edges to welts and pockets. The design appears to be a simple drop shoulder and would very easily adapt to being worked bottom up.
The designer says “I wanted to create a comfortable sweater with small details like pockets highlighted by touches of colour as well as a stranded colourwork panel reminiscent of an old parquet floor”
