TikkunTree Cabled Co-Existence Leaves
Thanks for your interest in the TikkunTree Cabled-Coexistence Leaf Pattern.
This pattern for a pair of special “co-existence” leaves was created in 2008 in response to bloodshed that year in Sderot/Gaza and Jerusalem, to promote participation in the TikkunTree project, an ongoing fiberarts peace project (more information here); the pattern was initially offered free of charge to encourage contributions to the TikkunTree.
In light of events in Israel-Palestine in 2009, however, there is a critical need for funds in support of relief efforts in Gaza. Therefore, the pattern is now being made available for a modest sum, all of which will be contributed to humanitarian relief projects in Gaza.
This pattern has been carefully reviewed, revised and re-knitted. The current pdf was updated on 1.1.10.
I hope you will consider sending a leaf or two to the TikkunTree, in the spirit of peace. But if not, your purchase will support the work of the TikkunTree. Anyone sending leaves to the TikkunTree will receive a complete set of leaf patterns as a gift. Thank you for using your knitting (or knitting dollars) for peace!
