Tilda - a top down seamless yoked cardigan
by Katy Farrell
This is a great introduction to top down knitting featuring some more unusual techniques - Vikkel / lateral braiding, slipped stitch colour work and sew on buttonhole loops, all of which are very easy but add interest to your project. This design works well for boys and girls - just vary the colours and knit in wool for winter or cotton for spring and cooler summer days. With 6 sizes, it is a pattern that can grow with your child. All you need is 50 - 200g of the main colour yarn and 50 - 100g of the contrast yarn (worsted weight yarn), 3 buttons and 4.5mm needles. As with all my designs extra support is always available online too.
