Tildia
Tildia-hat is worked in the round from the brim up. You can adjust the length by adding more pattern repeats for longer, more slouchy hat. You can block the hat moderately or aggressively and so change the appearance from more close fitting to looser beanie.
Due the pattern repeat, sizes M and L have the same stitch counts. Different sized needles are used to alter the hat size.

Finished measurements
Brim finished circumference non stretched 37.5, 42, 45 cm/ 14.75, 16.5, 17.75 inches.
Body finished circumference 47, 48, 53 cm/ 18.5, 19, 21 inches.
Height approximately 18.5, 21, 23.5 cm/ 7.25, 8.25, 9 1⁄4 inches.
Yarn
50 -70 g of fingering weight yarn, app. 384 m (420 yds) per 100 g. The sample hat (size M) was knitted with madelinetosh Tosh Mo Light, (80% Merino, 20% Mohair), 384 m/ 420 yds per 100 g and used 50 g.

Size S: 2.75 mm/ US 2 and 3.25 mm/ US 3 (80 cm/ 32 inches or longer for magic loop) circular needle, or set of four DPNs.
Size M: 2.50 mm/ US 1.5 and 3.25 mm/ US 3 (80 cm/ 32 inches or longer for magic loop) circular needle, or set of four DPNs.
Size L: 2.75 mm/ US 2 and 3.50 mm/ US 4 (80 cm/ 32 inches or longer for magic loop) circular needle, or set of four DPNs.

With size 2.50 mm/ US 1.5 needle: 34.5 sts x 48 rows = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches with smaller needles in ribbing stitch after blocking, not stretched

With size 3.25 mm/ US 3 needle: 30 sts x 40 rows = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches with bigger needles in pattern after blocking
With size 3.50 mm/ US 4 needle: 27 sts x 36 rows = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches with bigger needles in pattern after blocking
