Tiles
I’ve grown to love beadwork. The motifs in this sweater are meant to evoke the simple Moroccan geometric shapes that you find in many of the deco (decorated) tiles.
The silk/merino/cashmere yarn from Woolen Rabbit makes a lovely, soft, warm but lightweight fabric with wonderful drape; no wonder Opal Kim’s (the dyer) go-to sweater yarn. The sweater is shown with an inch or two of ease, with figure-flattering shaping in the form of front and back darts.
Notions & Other Supplies: Extra needle or waste yarn for provisional cast on; (6) stitchmarkers; Crochet hook for beading; Yarn needle
