The Tilikum Scarf is named after Tilikum Crossing Bridge, which is located on Chinook land in Portland, Oregon. It depicts the bridge’s cable-stayed engineering. Cables support the weight of the bridge as they run down from towers to the deck of the bridge, creating a triangle pattern. This triangle pattern is created in the scarf by way of intarsia.
