Tilly the Cat
Tilly the Cat is a dainty little cat. She wears her ‘Sunday best’ - from her frilly dress and dainty shoes all the way to her tiara.
This pattern is an intermediate design and uses US terminology. A knowledge of how to crochet is essential as it does not teach you how to crochet, it simply provides instructions for you to make the toy.
Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Tilly is approx. 12cm tall (4 3/4 inches).
You will need:
- 2.2mm hook/B-1
- 4ply yarns/Fingering or Sport > 25g of GREY and PINK, a small amount of HOT PINK and DUSTY ROSE
- BLACK embroidery thread or 4ply yarn
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester toy stuffing
- Stitch marker (optional)
Notes:
- Amigurumi is usually worked in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.
- Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
- I’ve used the following yarn: o GREY = Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 in col. 118 Silver o PINK = Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 in col. 54 Pink Berry Smoothie o HOT PINK = Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 in col. 46 Hot Pink o DUSTY ROSE = Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 in col. 52 Dusty Rose
