Tilly Tunic
A simple seamless top down yoked tunic which has a button fastening at the back.
The pattern is intermediate level as it is knit in the round and requires casting on using a Channel Island cast on (easy to learn) and creating picots when casting off (again easy to learn!) The yarn used (Sirdar’s recycled Aran) goes far so you will only need 1 - 4 100g balls dependent on size. Any other Aran or worsted weight yar would also work well, providing it has the same gauge: 18 sts & 24 rows to 10cm squared.
With 6 sizes given (16” - 26” chest) this pattern can be used again and again and would look good as an extra layer all year round. It is quick to knit and with no seaming at the end, has a professional look and would make a lovely gift, be it for a baby shower, or a birthday present.
