Inspired by the coast of Block Island - the sea, the shore, and the sky - Tilson is a three-color shawl worked in a meandering lace pattern with reversible texture. Reminiscent of the horizon line, the dynamic stripes create interesting transitions from color to color within the textured lace pattern.

Tilson is knit side-to-side in one piece with yarn over edgings. The shawl starts with just a few cast on stitches and grows into a modern elongated triangle with increases worked along one side. The eyelet edging can be used for finishing since the blocking wires can easily be threaded through the yarn overs.

This design was produced in partnership with North Light Fibers as part of their Beacon program. Beacon is a royalty-based plan to provide high quality patterns to knitters while paying fair compensation to independent designers. I am thrilled to be a part of this partnership, and I know you will love working with their amazing yarn, all made in the USA, as much as I did.
