Timan Ridge Cowl
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
A warm, versatile cowl inspired by early Victorian patterns that used shades of grey and/or brown to knit garments that mimicked various types of fur, including sable and chinchilla, worn by the wealthy at the time. The Victorians were fascinated with natural history – Timan Ridge is a geological feature found in Siberia, the home of the Siberian sable. The cowl is knit in the round with four colours, grading from dark to light to dark again. Instructions are given for three sizes.
