Time Skip Collar is an accessory designed to keep your neck and upper torso warm when you’re out and about on your space-time adventures. It features a high double folded neck, shaped panels for the front and back connected with the ribbing, and a separated zipper in the front.

Sizes
There are two sizes you’ll be choosing in the pattern: the base size and the bottom rib size. The base size is supposed to correspond with your back width. The bottom rib is supposed to have some positive ease to your upper chest circumference measurement.

Base size:
(1, 2, 3) (4, 5, 6)
with the finished measurement of
(33, 35, 37) (39, 41, 43) cm /
(13, 13¾, 14½) (15⅜, 16⅛, 17) in

Bottom rib size:
a (b, c, d) {e, f, g} (h, i, j) {k, l, m} (n, o, p)
with the finished measurement of
86 (90, 94, 98) {102, 106, 110} (114, 118, 122) {126, 130, 134} (138, 142, 146)cm /
33⅞ (35½, 37, 38⅝) {40⅛, 41¾, 43⅜} (44⅞, 46½, 48) {49⅝, 51⅛, 52¾} (54⅜, 56, 57½)in

The sample is knit in a size 2d.

Yarn
For the most part, the collar can be knit in a fingering yarn held double or a DK/Sport weight yarn on its own. However, the plackets are designed to be knitted in a fingering yarn held single at a tighter gauge. It is done to reduce bulk in the front with the zipper sewn in.

I would recommend the yarns that hold their shape well and don’t have much drape.

Black Sample:
Ístex Einband: held double for the body, bottom rib and neck; held single for the plackets
Sirritógv 2-ply: held as is for the i-cord and neck; unplied for the plackets

White Sample:
Aade Lõng 8/2: held as is throughout

Gauge
With the light fingering weight yarn held double or DK weight yarn held single:
21sts and 30 rows = 10cm / 4in in stockinette stitch on 4mm needles.

With light fingering weight yarn held single:
32sts = 10cm / 4in in stockinette stitch on 3mm needles.

Needles
4mm: for the body, bottom rib with an i-cord and a large portion of the neck
3mm: for plackets and a small portion of the neck
