I’ve wanted to design adult garments for years - but I’ve always held myself back from starting, scared of wasting time if the design didn’t work out right the first time. It’s only now, looking back, that I realize how naïve that line of thinking is.

I might have to restart a design a few times but the end result is always worth it. And like Earl Nightingale says - the time will pass anyway.

S - 32-34” (81-86 cm) chest circumference
M - 36-38” (91.5-96.5 cm) chest circumference
L - 40-42” (101.5-106.5 cm) chest circumference
XL - 44-46” (111.5-117 cm) chest circumference
2XL - 48-50” (122-127 cm) chest circumference
3XL - 52-54” (132-137 cm) chest circumference
4XL - 56-58” (142-147 cm) chest circumference
5XL - 60-62” (152-158 cm) chest circumference

Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rows = 4” in stockinette

Yarn: 2-3 skeins of Lion Brand Pound of Love in the Claret colorway OR 1,250-2,300 yards of worsted weight yarn

Needles: US size 6 / 4 mm 16” and 32” circu-lar needles, 7 / 4.5 mm 24” or 32” circular needles (larger sizes may need 40” or larger to accommodate stitches) and either DPN’s or 40” circulars for magic loop

Additional materials: Stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, waste yarn, scissors

Skills involved: Knitting in the round, simple cabling, decreases, increases, basic sweater construction
