“Timeless Love” luxury Cowl

This cowl has been inspired in thought and colour by the reunion of Jamie and Claire in Outlander.

I wanted to create a cowl depicting the eternal love they share by knitting it in the round and making an infinite circle of love.

The colours I have chosen obviously relate to the meeting in the printers and the colours of paper and ink.

I have created it in two different yarn bases to provide a pure luxury item to wear against your skin.

It has been made free enough to pull the scalloped edge of the cowl over the back of your head and wear as a hood with the scallops framing your face.

The darker shade is a merino base and the lighter is pure silk.
The merino gives some firmness to the piece whilst still being gorgeous to the touch, and the pure silk falls and lends itself to the smoothness of the cowl.

Of course the pattern could be recreated in any fingering/4ply/sock yarn of your colour and choice. I have included a gauge but it isn’t essential for the pattern.
