Timeout Shawl
About the design:
Starting small, this (MOHAIR) shawl grows with easy increases along one edge. Garter stitch features prominently, with strips of eyelets inserted to take it to the next level. I love the unblocked look, but blocking would open up the strips, for sure. An I-Cord edge is integrated as you knit, & an I-Cord bind off is worked. Both of which work to ensure that the 2, equal in length sides of the shawl, mirror each other with a beautifully tailored look.
Options:
You could also knit this shawl single stranded in fingering weight, but what I love about using mohair, is that the resulting fabric is much lighter & cosier, & because of that, as well as the symmetry of the design, & beautiful drape you get with the yarn, styling is an absolute doddle!
The shawl may be knit single stranded, double stranded, (or both, like the DESIGN SAMPLE). Introducing more colour is an option, & inspiration to do so is included in the pattern notes.
