Times Two Sideways Reversible Scarf
Imagine this reversible scarf in the softest of yarns caressing your neck. The understated elegance of subtly textured horizontal bands makes this a handsome man’s scarf as well as women’s.
The “times two” reversible technique intermixes hand spun or hand dyed yarn, or even mixed dye lots, to get uniform thickness and color. The sequence of two rows is begun on alternating ends of the row in such a way that the yarn carried up the ends of the rows is distributed equally. This avoids the double bulky edge at just one end that results in the usual method of alternating yarns every other row.
The scarf is knitted side to side in rows equivalent to the length of the scarf. Matching cast on and bind off instructions are included.
