Cardo Collection

The Cardo Collection designed by the Fairmount Fibers team celebrates the newest yarn from Manos del Uruguay: Cardo! Cardo is a crisp, resilient bulky-weight yarn made of 100% Corriedale wool in a 4-ply construction.

The Tinamou pullover takes advantage of Cardo’s crisp stitch definition for a yoke composed of easy patterns that yield graphic impact. Worked from the top down, both body and sleeve length are easily customizable to make this your favorite walk-in-the-woods sweater.

Manos del Uruguay CARDO (100% Corriedale wool; approx. 109 yds/100 g): 7 (7, 8, 8) (9, 10, 11, 11) sks MC, and 1 sk each of CC1 and CC2 for all sizes.

GAUGE
13 sts and 20 rnds = 4”/10cm in solid-color St st using larger needles.
13 sts and 18 rnds = 4”/10cm in colorwork yoke patterns using larger needles.

NOTES
This garment is worked in one piece from the top down. After completing the circular yoke, the stitches are divided for the lower body and sleeves. The body is worked in the round to the lower edge, and the sleeves are worked separately in the round down to the cuffs.
