My family really likes berries of all kinds. With spring comes farmer’s market finds, and we take advantage of local strawberries, blackberries and blueberries whenever we can. For this collection of shawls, Berries In Spring, I found yarns just right to reflect the colors of those delicious fresh berries.

Tinebury
A sister to my Ravendale pattern, this shawlette is an asymmetrical triangle knitted sideways from the right tip. It features a lace border which naturally creates a subtle scalloped edge (I blocked my sample firmly). You may choose to work the lace either from charts or the full written instructions.

The shawl can be made any size you wish, and is suitable for any yarn weight up to aran. Be sure to adjust your yarn requirements when substituting yarn.

Materials used for sample (weighs 93g):
Knit Picks Hawthorne Tonal
1 skein Hood River
a row counter is helpful for this pattern

Acknowledgements:
The lace border contains elements from a stitch pattern found in the Knitting Stitch Bible by Hitomi Shida.

Pattern is written in American terminology.
