27 1/4” / 69 cm circumference by 15” / 38 cm depth
YARN
1 SweetGeorgia Yarns 2022 Advent set in DK Weight (CC1-15) (32 yd / 29 m per .5 oz / 14 g per mini-skein; 100% Superwash Merino).
Yarn Options: A) pull from stash remnants for CC1-15 (and/or change colours when you run out), use 2 full skeins of DK-weight yarn and alternate MC/CC with the even/odd CC instructions, C) use 1 colour, ignoring all colour change instructions.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Size 4 US / 3.5 mm circular needle, 16” / 40 cm long
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain the correct gauge.
Stitch marker, cable needle, tapestry needle
GAUGE
22 sts and 31 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in St st, after blocking.
22 sts and 36 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in Diagonal Rib st, after blocking.
22 sts and 32 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in Eyelet st, after blocking.
Please note that changes in gauge will affect yardage and final measurements.
PATTERN NOTES
The cowl is knit from the top down in the round.
If yarn runs out, rounds may be omitted from a stitch pattern section. Work as many rounds as possible, then proceed to the next yarn and the next section.
The stitch patterns are both written (Stitches Used on p 2) and charted (p 3) for your preference. The pattern directions begin on p 4.
