The Tinsel Pompom Beanie was made first on Channel 4’s 2017 Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas Show as a 90 minute timed knitting challenge. The good news is that this beanie took me 75 minutes from cast on to pompom, so plenty of time to spare!

The oversized fit and slouchy shape are perfect for keeping your head warm without clamping down on your hair (read: no more hat hair!), and the sparkly pompom gives it a festive touch.

SIZES:

• Baby from Premie, Newborn, 3-6m 6-12m (28.75-43.75cm head circumference)
• Youth from Toddler to Child (47.5-60cm head circumference)
• Small and Large Adult (53.75-58.75cm head circumference)

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

• Super Chunky yarn
• 12mm circular knitting needles
• Optional: pompom maker
• Optional: some sparkly tinsel thread!
