Tintagel
The mitts are named after Tintagel Castle, one of the most spectacular historic sites in Britain. The castle was built on a jagged headland projecting into the Cornish sea and is riddled with history and legends. It’s still on my bucket list of places to visit.
The mitts are worked in twisted rib and cable pattern, making them stretchy and ensuring a snug fit for most hands. The cable pattern on the cuffs and top of the hand is charted and written out. Separate instructions are given for the right hand, left hand, and thumbs.
Circumference of hand (at the widest part, below the knuckles):
• S 17 cm / 6¾’’
• M 18.5 cm / 7¼’’
• L 20 cm / 8’’
• XL 21.5 cm / 8½’’
