A pattern by Lori Savichunas for The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze… originally included in a Kit to highlight his colourful Merino Yarns. Pick traditional Red, Blue and Pink/Flesh tones or boldly choose other contrasting colours.

Knit in the round with four 3.5mm needles (recommended), this little Gnome will wobble a little but; his beans will still hold him in place. No set gauge so, just knit tight enough to hold in those beans and fiberfill, working from the bottom to the top. Recommendations are included for feature details like Eyes, Beards and Hair. Even notes on a Tiny “Uncle Sam’ variation are included.

Merino wool keeps him warm, if he ventures outdoors for a walk in the woods or anywhere you Travel together. Do take photos, please, of your Travelling Buddy.

Start with Worsted Weight and then graduate to Fingering Weight for even tinier Gnomes. I couldn’t help including some pictures of my experiments with Fingering Weight. Faux Fur works too for Beards, if you’d like to style more.
